Student AirRace Joins EUROAVIA Munich – A Big Step Toward the Future
Student AirRace was founded by a dedicated team of volunteer students from the Technical University of Munich, supported by industry experts and driven by a passion for aviation, technology, and innovation. Now, it’s time for the next chapter:
As of 2025, Student AirRace is officially integrated into the organizational structure of EUROAVIA Munich.
While it remains a legally independent association, it is now fully managed and developed by the board of EUROAVIA Munich – a move that opens up exciting new opportunities for everyone involved.
What does this mean?
EUROAVIA Munich is the local chapter of the European Association of Aerospace Students, a vibrant, Europe-wide student network focused on aerospace and engineering. This new collaboration brings several key benefits:
Stronger organizational foundation: Event planning, communications, and execution are now handled by the experienced EUROAVIA Munich board.
Long-term continuity: By becoming part of EUROAVIA’s student life, Student AirRace gains a sustainable framework for future growth.
Expanded network: Teams, sponsors, and partners now gain access to a broad and established network of students, industry professionals, and academic institutions across Europe.
Greater visibility: Being part of EUROAVIA boosts the event’s visibility within the university, in the industry, and on an international level.
Closer community connection: Student AirRace becomes a living part of EUROAVIA’s community – open to new members, fresh ideas, and collaborative projects.
What stays the same?
The heart of Student AirRace remains unchanged: a thrilling, hands-on challenge for student teams to race their custom-built drones and compete in innovation, speed, and strategy. Creativity, teamwork, and technical excellence are still at the core – now supported by even stronger organizational resources.
What’s next?
With a solid foundation in place, we’re working on the upcoming race. Whether you’re a team ready to compete, a student interested in helping out, or just curious to see what it’s all about – stay tuned for big news in the upcoming weeks!
